ReadGoodr Terms of Use

Version 1.0 Effective and last updated: 2 September 2026

These Terms are between you and Stockholm MediaMakers AB, organisation number 559021-7195, Wallingatan 11, 111 60 Stockholm, Sweden ("ReadGoodr", "we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

1. Agreement and eligibility

By using ReadGoodr you agree to these Terms and the ReadGoodr Privacy Policy. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies; these Terms supplement it and prevail only to the extent permitted by law.

ReadGoodr is not a children's app. You must be at least 13 in the United States, United Kingdom or New Zealand, 14 in Canada, and 15 in Australia. If the App Store region cannot be determined, you must be at least 15. You must be legally able to enter this agreement.

2. The service

ReadGoodr lets you import, scan and listen to text, follow the reading position and use related reading tools. Some features work locally; others use cloud processing only after the permission shown in the app.

AI, scan recognition and text cleaning can make mistakes. Word explanations are AI-generated and should be checked when accuracy matters. ReadGoodr does not promise a particular learning outcome and is not medical, diagnostic or professional advice.

ReadGoodr version 1 has no ReadGoodr account. Your library and reading state are normally stored on your iPhone and may be lost if you delete them or uninstall the app without a backup you control.

3. Your content

You keep your rights to content you import or create. You give us a limited right to process only the content needed to provide the feature you request, maintain security and meet the law. This right ends when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

You must have the right to use and process the content. Do not use ReadGoodr to infringe copyright, bypass digital-rights controls, access unlawfully obtained material, harm others or break the law. ReadGoodr does not grant rights to books, articles or other third-party material.

If content you choose to send contains sensitive personal data, cloud processing requires the separate explicit consent shown in ReadGoodr. You can use available local processing without giving that consent.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are sold and billed by Apple. The purchase screen shows the selected product, billing period, current localized price, trial eligibility where available, renewal terms and material usage allowance. Those facts form part of your purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple before renewal. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account. Deleting ReadGoodr does not cancel a subscription. Apple controls billing and monetary refunds under its rules and applicable law.

Plans and additional-hour purchases are not unlimited. Current allowances, replay rules, plan differences and conditions for additional hours are shown before purchase and in Plan details. A billing renewal does not necessarily restart a rolling usage period. Stored audio can be replayed without new generation; generating audio again may use more allowance.

Additional hours remain available until used, subject to the active-plan condition shown before purchase. When ReadGoodr receives and verifies refund status for an additional-hours purchase, only unused value attributable to that purchase may be removed. Value already used does not create a negative balance or debt. If the verified status later changes, only unused value actually affected by the earlier adjustment may be restored. An in-app balance adjustment may not be immediate; contact support if it does not match Apple's refund decision.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

6. Our rights

ReadGoodr, its software, design, branding and original materials belong to Stockholm MediaMakers AB or its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose while these Terms apply.

Feedback is voluntary. You allow us to use it without payment or an obligation to implement it, but we do not gain ownership of your private content merely because you give feedback.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep ReadGoodr available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, platform limits, network conditions or providers outside our control.

We may change or discontinue features for security, legal or product reasons. We will not use a Terms update as consent for a material new data purpose, data category or cloud recipient. The Privacy Policy and any required in-app choice govern such a change.

8. Suspension and ending use

You may stop using ReadGoodr at any time. We may restrict cloud access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security, unlawful use or a material breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to correct the problem.

A restriction of cloud access does not delete your local library, cancel your Apple subscription or remove a purchased balance. Payment remedies follow applicable law and Apple's transaction process.

9. Responsibility and consumer rights

You are responsible for keeping copies of content you need and for checking important output. To the extent permitted by law, ReadGoodr is provided without a guarantee that every scan, pronunciation, explanation or generated audio segment will be accurate or continuously available.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that law does not allow us to exclude, including mandatory consumer guarantees. Subject to those rights, neither party is responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss. Our responsibility is not limited where limitation is unlawful, including for fraud, wilful misconduct or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

10. Law and disputes

Swedish law governs these Terms, without removing mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a problem. You may also use any court, regulator or consumer-dispute process available to you under mandatory law.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when ReadGoodr or the law changes. The published page shows the effective date. If a material change affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply, except where law requires a different form of acceptance.
